Juicing is the IDEAL “Fast Food!”

Home-pressed juice is the best. Not only does it taste divine (depending upon your taste preferences and what veggies you juice) but it is loaded with micronutrients. It's the ideal fast food because these micronutrients are absorbed in the body within approximately 15 minutes!

What Does it Cost?!

photo 1(2).JPG

  • 1 bag of organic carrots ($2)

  • 1 bag of organic celery ($2.50)

  • 1 large beet ($3.49)

  • 1 bag of organic apples ($5.50)

  • 2 packages of organic Kale ($1.66 x2= $3.32)

  • 2 cucumbers ($3.00)

  • Total: Just under $20 for ~ a 32oz batch

(**I only used 2 of the apples in the 3#lb bag so there are about 8 left in the drawer for the kids, or the next time I juice).

If I Juice twice a week it costs about $40 a week . If money gets tight we skip 1 juicing session that week .

My toddler daughter’s juice:

½ beet

4 large carrot stalks

1 apple

1 stalk of kale

½ stalk of celery

  • Benefits of Juicing:

  • Fresh juice increases your nutrient intake because cooking and processing food destroys micronutrients by altering their shape and chemical composition.

  • We can’t fully extract the raw plant fiber by chewing, so a lot of micronutrients (vitamins, proteins, and minerals) stay locked in plant fiber as it moves through the intestinal tract.

  • It is hard to hit the recommended target of 6-8 servings of fruits and veggies a day. By juicing it will allow you to more easily reach it.

  • Juicing can help reverse disease and speed recover from disease by supporting the body’s healing response and cell regeneration.

Also- choose organic produce! Juicing is for detoxing and purifying. Why use fruits and veggies coated in pesticides? It’s kind of counterproductive wouldn’t you say?! Apples, celery and leafy greens are the on the top of the Dirty Dozen list, Click Here for the list.

*If not buying organic buy more of the veggies that can be peeled (cucumber, carrots, etc,).

  • Fat Sick and Nearly Dead *Also, the sequel: Fat Sick and Nearly Dead (2)

  • This movie inspired me to buy a juicer 5 years ago. Juicing has added so much HEALTH to my body. It is about Joe Cross a severely overweight and sick man who gains his life back by juicing (he does a 60 day juice fast). The sequel is about how he maintains his health eating 40% of his daily food intake from plants and juicing.
