Smoothies

Sarah's Staple Breakfast Shake

The feature of this post is my breakfast shake! I have this every day!

Unsweetened Almond Milk (8-12 oz)

Organic Spinach (big handful)

Chia Seeds (1 Tblsp)

Protein Powder (one serving size)

Banana (optional, I like how it sweetens and thickens the shake, but sometimes I do not put it in)

*you can add any organic berry to this shake instead of banana

* This one has blueberries in it, you can't even see my green spinach here! That is why my daughter (age 2) always drinks about half of it! Then I have to make more.

After I blend my shake, I take my vitamins with a big glass of water! Then I drink my breakfast. This way the shake is more filling and a great way to start a busy day!

If you look at what ingredients are in the shake above, you are getting far superior nutrition than a thrown-together- breakfast on your way out the door on a typical busy morning.

If you do not have a personal blender, I highly recommend asking for one for Christmas or use a gift card or gifted money to buy one. I love my Cusinart ($60 on Amazon). There are cheaper versions at the local stores but they do not have as powerful of a motor. Definitely do your research on what would work best for you and your family here. The ones listed below have the best reviews and ALL can be found on Amazon.com.

Cusinart (personal blender)

Tribest (personal blender)

Magic Bullet (personal blender)

Bella (Cucina Rocket Blender)

Hamilton Beach (Single serve)

Enjoy Mamas!

Sarah
